back from Y-Camp!! it was so fun. actually it was a last min thing, as 2 of the interact club members was supposed to go, but they were sick and so they had to find replacement. since steph and me is free, so we go and learn new things. The camp is actually a camp for those people, erm, i dont know what they are called. but its like they may be 30 plus, but their mindset is like kids. And our job is to be a befriender and look after them.

FIRST DAY!

everything was like hell for me. when we reach the school, oh the camping place is at saint grabiel(spell error). there was like so many people of different school, smu, ite clementi, rjc. then since me and steph is replacement, we had to go find our so called leader to inform them, thanks rachel for the help. and sadly we were being arrange to different rooms. i was like omg! cannot! then wanni help us to tell them and yeah we were sleeping in the same room again! haha. that was alright until the clients came. me and steph was being appointed to go welcome them and bring them to the canteen with 3 other volunteers. that was like so horrible. coz i am still not used to them and got no experience in handling them. and that eng kwan, one of the client scared me off. he keep on find us and point to us to look at the paper, and we were like huh. very scared la. after that while waiting for the other clients to come, we were waiting at the canteen with the other clients, that point of time, my mind was, why must i come here? i feel like going home. i was very scared and stress la. after that i was appointed to my client, its a boy. he was 19. i was glad he isnt that naughty. everything was so not organise on the first day and everything seem to be so messy, as there wasnt clear instruction. even the ice breaking game is not fun. then when learning the YMCA dance, steph was a bit unhappy with her client coz he dont like girls. LOLx. and then a male volunteer came to dance with him he was like so happy! haha. even when doing the friendship dance he also dont want. lucky bathing time and sleeping time is alright for me. my client is a good boy. Because there are some who dont sleep at night and if they dont sleep the volunteer also cannot sleep. and there are some who wet their pants at night. then its de brief and bathing and sleeping time for me. i am so tired.

SECOND DAY!

second day was alright. when i go down to find chee song he was ready there in his room waiting for me. then we went to have breakfast and after that we had our exercise and games. still the same, eng kwan was running around and his buddy have to follow him. then our camp commander, alicia went to talk to eng kwan and suddenly alvin, one of the client also, went to push her real hard for no reason. everyone was so shock and alvin buddy quickly pull him back. then its lunch and east coast time! my chee song had a great day there building sand castle. and me also, coz for so long in my 18 years its my first time playing. haha. that day was so fun la. and back to school, to play mind challenging game i think and dinner time. and then its campfire and disco night. that night was so fun with dancing and singing. haha. a unforgettable night. on the 2nd day, i am not scared of them and even play with them. actually they very cute people who just need a little more patience from us.

THIRD DAY!

The last day of the camp. we had photo frame making. which is me and chee song had a photo of us on a piece of paper and we decorate the paper. then we exchange with each other. chee song really make me feel so touched. he really can decorate and he even wrote a "good bye" on the paper. i was like omg. and i really felt that i am lucky coz some of them cant even draw anything. i asked chee song if he would miss me, he say ya. i was like so gan dong by what he said. then after some other activities, chee song went back.

i wont forget this camp. especially chee song. thanks chee song for giving me all this memories. i must say you are really a good boy. continue to work hard ok! and all the best in whatever u do. you have been great!
